Anaphylaxis & Asthma Emergency Kits For UK Schools

It is an absolute certainty that every school will have children living with asthma and very likely to have at least one child who is severely allergic to a food type. On rare occasions these conditions can escalate into severe attacks or reactions and become life-threatening, this is why ARK has been developed.

 Who is ARK?

The team at ARK Solutions have developed vital, life-saving support tools for schools across the UK. Their aim is to simplify access to essential resources for children suffering with severe allergies and asthma. ARK was established in 2017 and, with over 40 years of experience in the commercial pharmaceutical sector, they provide unique knowledge of various therapy areas but specialise in asthma and allergy.

What do schools need to know?

Legislation now permits schools across the UK to hold spare salbutamol inhalers for use in the event of an asthma attack and/or spare adrenaline auto-injectors in case of emergencies due to anaphylaxis.

One of ARK’s aims is to offer a range of emergency treatment kits to help potentially save a child’s life in these life-threatening situations.

What can ARK do to help schools?

ARK is pleased to announce the launch of Anaphylaxis & Asthma Rescue Kits, which have been developed in partnership with Allergy UK and advice from healthcare specialists. ARK contains salbutamol inhaler devices or adrenaline auto-injectors, dependent on the Kit.

In addition, ARK has produced online-resources to help educate and support schools, pupils, parents and carers.

ARK kits are tamper proof and can be wall mounted in areas of high risk. Being portable, they are also ideal for school away days or residential trips. Within minutes of a serious asthma attack or anaphylactic reaction, ARK kits can be accessed to help prevent a potentially fatal incident.

As part of their commitment to provide a premium product, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Rescue Kits are pre-assembled and checked by hand to ensure that contents remain in prime condition until such time they are required. To offer further peace of mind the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) have reviewed their processes.

ARK Kits are ONLY available to primary and secondary schools in the UK. To find out how to purchase ARK Kits, click here.
