Can we count on you to take food allergy seriously?

It's Time Campaign

We all need food to survive, and, for many of us, it’s also an enjoyable experience. However, for some individuals, food allergies can turn this basic human need into a frightening and potentially life-threatening reaction. In the UK alone, over 2 million people are impacted by food allergies, and managing these allergies requires constant vigilance and awareness.

Do you read the ingredient labels on every food and drink item you consume? Unless you have a food allergy, probably not! But when you have a food allergy, there’s no letting your guard down. For someone with a food allergy, it always takes the extra five minutes to check or perhaps double-check, because every meal can become a potential risk.

Food plays an integral part of our day-to-day life; much of our daily living revolves around food, and in many ways, food is a route to connection, enjoyment and coming together.  That’s why we believe everyone has a responsibility to ensure the safety of those living with food allergies.

So, thank you for wanting to find out more about how you can play a part in this.
