Allergy Awareness Week 2025

Allergies are on the rise, and by 2026, it’s estimated that 1 in 2 people in Europe will be living with an allergy. Yet despite this growing prevalence, many people still don’t fully appreciate that allergy is a chronic health condition, not just a minor inconvenience and as a result, do not engage with important information about allergic disease. This might include not understanding how allergies develop, how allergies can affect your overall health and why early intervention in allergies is crucial in ensuring allergies are well managed.

That’s why this Allergy Awareness Week, we’re launching our new campaign – ‘I Wish I Knew’ .

The aim of the campaign is to inform and empower anyone who may be affected by allergy one day, so they are able to recognise an allergy early and seek support so they can control and manage their allergy, rather than allowing an allergy to completely control their life. This Allergy Awareness Week, we will kick off the campaign by highlighting three things everyone needs to know about allergy. These three important facts can make all the difference in recognising symptoms, seeking a diagnosis and preventing complications, whilst potentially – changing the course of an allergy journey altogether.

We would also like to invite parliamentarians already living with allergies to share what they wish they had known sooner in their allergy journey.

Through these real-life stories we can help others take proactive steps, enabling them to live a full and uncompromised life with allergy.

If you would like to share your story, please reach out to us at [email protected]

It’s also crucial that we spread this important message as widely as possible during the campaign. Every share helps us reach more people and build greater awareness. Below, you’ll find a selection of social media assets that you can download and post across your channels to help us amplify the message and make a real impact.
