Supporting UDAY 2026 to raise awareness of chronic spontaneous urticaria

Allergy UK is supporting Urticaria Day (UDAY) 2026, a global awareness campaign taking place on 1 October, to help raise awareness and understanding of chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU).

For many people living with CSU, persistent itch, swelling and unpredictable flare-ups can affect sleep, daily life and emotional wellbeing. However, with the right support and treatment plan, many people can achieve good symptom control and regain confidence in managing their condition.

Allergy UK regularly hears from people who believe their CSU is caused by allergy. However, CSU is not caused by an allergy and this common misconception highlights the need for greater awareness and understanding of the condition.

This year’s UDAY theme,Take Back Control: From Itch to Understanding, focuses on the unseen impacts of urticaria and the importance of good understanding and management.

To support UDAY 2026, we have developed a range of CSU resources to help people access information and support beyond the clinic setting.

These resources include a CSU patient information leaflet and information to help people better understand their condition. Our website also contains a wealth of information and support on CSU.
