Research on Transition Care for Young People with Allergies and Asthma

We’re sharing details of a research project being conducted by Imperial College London, the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) and supported by BSACI.

The study is exploring experiences of transition care for young people with asthma and allergic conditions as they move from paediatric to adult healthcare services. Researchers are seeking views from:

  • Young people aged 16 to 25 living with asthma and/or allergies
  • Parents and carers of young people aged 11 to 25.

The survey aims to better understand experiences of healthcare transition, including challenges faced, support received, confidence in self-management, and areas where care could be improved.

Participation is voluntary, responses are anonymous, and the survey takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

This research has been reviewed and approved by the Imperial College London Research Governance and Integrity Team (RGIT) and will be open for approximately the next 8 to 12 weeks.
