A new chapter for Anaphylaxis UK and Allergy UK
Anaphylaxis UK and Allergy UK are to merge, creating a stronger, unified voice for people living with allergy and anaphylaxis.
Anaphylaxis UK and Allergy UK today announce their intention to merge on the 1st of October 2026, bringing together their expertise to create a more powerful, unified voice for the millions of people across the UK affected by allergy and anaphylaxis.
The merger builds on more than 30 years of collaboration between the two organisations, rooted in a shared commitment to improving the lives of those living with allergy. Most recently, this has been demonstrated through the work to develop the National Allergy Strategy (NAS), highlighting the strength and impact of partnership working in driving meaningful change.
By formally coming together, the charities will strengthen their collective position to influence policy, improve care, and expand support and education. This is not about scaling up for its own sake, but about increasing impact, aligning complementary strengths to better respond to what is a growing and often overlooked public health issue.
With a single, shared set of objectives, the merged organisation will be better equipped to advocate for system-wide change, raise awareness, and ensure that allergy care and safety receive the attention and priority they urgently require.
This next chapter reflects a clear ambition: to build on decades of collaboration and, through unity, deliver stronger outcomes for everyone living with allergy and anaphylaxis.
To support our communities during this transition, we have produced a list of frequently asked questions, which can be viewed here providing further detail on what the merger means and what to expect in the coming months.
