As we bring out the tinsel and lights each December, it’s worth remembering that the humble Christmas tree can trigger real allergic reactions in some people, Both real and artificial trees may stir up irritants, such as mould spores, dust mites, pollen.

Although allergic reactions are often mild, they can be very serious. In the most serious cases, a person has a severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis).
