Laura’s story

Mum, Laura Martin, took on the Great North Run with incredible strength and determination, all for her young daughter Rose, who suffers from skin allergies and severe eczema. 

Laura wanted to support Allergy UK and raise vital funds so parents can find the help they desperately need to bring comfort and relief to their children. 

She says:

As a new parent, it felt especially hard not being able to get the expert advice needed to feel confident in the choices we were making for Rose. That’s when I contacted Allergy UK. The Helpline staff understood the impact that Rose’s allergies and eczema were having on all our lives, at a stage we should have been enjoying being together.

Allergy UK resources helped us understand the challenges we were facing and our options. At a rough time, they made our lives easier and gave us peace of mind.
