Louie French MP

Conservative MP for Old Bexley and Sidcup

Our Champions

As the Member of Parliament for Old Bexley and Sidcup, I am delighted to be able to represent Allergy UK as an allergy champion in Parliament. I am proud to have Allergy UK based in Sidcup and to support the crucial work they do in improving the lives of people living with allergy and raising awareness of allergy at all levels.

It is estimated that 41 million people in the UK suffer from allergic disease, and these numbers continue to grow and I therefore join in support of Allergy UK’s pledge that allergy needs to be taken seriously.

Louie French is the Conservative Member of Parliament for Old Bexley and Sidcup where he was elected in December 2021. Louie grew up in the constituency in Welling and Sidcup. Prior to becoming an MP, Louie was a Councillor for Falconwood and Welling in Bexley and worked in financial services where he specialized in sustainable investing.

Following his election, Louie’s main priorities have been to improve the healthcare in his constituency, including securing extra treatment facilities at Queen Mary’s Hospital in Sidcup and campaigning to increase public health funding to Bexley. Alongside this, Louie is passionate about improving animal welfare, local policing and education.
