Allergy Awareness Week 2025

I wish I knew #these3things

Allergy Awareness Week 2025 will soon be here and with it an important opportunity to highlight the experiences of people living with allergies and raise awareness of allergy and its impact.

This year, we are using Allergy Awareness Week to launch our new campaign, ‘I Wish I Knew…’.

Our last campaign ‘It’s Time’ was a call to arms to take allergies seriously. Our new campaign will build on the core message of this whilst highlighting the importance of early interventions when symptoms of an allergy begin to appear.

The campaign will run throughout 2025 and beyond. Allergy Awareness Week 2025 will be the first chapter in this conversation and efforts will focus on highlighting three key things everyone needs to know about allergies.

They are:

  • Allergies can strike at any age
  • An allergy can make other health conditions such as Asthma worsen
  • Getting a diagnosis for an allergy matters: it is the key to accessing the right care

In raising awareness of #these3things we aim to ensure anyone is well placed to act early and seek help, should any symptoms of an allergy appear.

With half the population expected to have allergies by 2026 and our healthcare system not optimised for their care, it’s crucial that anyone who is newly diagnosed is empowered to access the support they need early on in their journey.

This is because we know that the earlier people access the right care, the better their chances of their allergy being well managed to prevent complications down the line – and even potentially change the trajectory of the allergy.

During the campaign we will bring together the voices of those within the allergy community and our experts, to paint a picture of what life can be like with allergy; the barriers often faced and the personal experiences and practical solutions which have helped others overcome these hurdles.  We will explore many different areas of allergy through the campaign – from food to allergies in babies, indoor allergies to hay fever and everything in between. In this way, we hope to build an allergy community where ‘I Wish I Knew…’ is heard less and less.  This is the first step toward a life where allergies don’t get in the way of what matters most.

Join us from April 21 – 28 for Allergy Awareness Week 2025 and please get in touch via [email protected] if you have been living with allergies and have something you think want to share that you wish you had known sooner. Your real-life stories will help others take steps to manage their allergies and live a life without limits.

Together we can raise awareness, educate and make it known that no one has to face allergies alone.
