Join Allergy UK’s Youth Engagement Group

Living with allergies can feel overwhelming at times, but you’re not alone. At Allergy UK, we want to make sure that the voices of young people are heard loud and clear.

That’s why we’ve created a Youth Engagement Group where you can:

  • Connect with others who understand what it’s like living with allergies.
  • Share your experiences and ideas to help shape the support and resources we offer.
  • Get involved in raising awareness and making a difference for young people across the UK.

Whether your allergy is mild, moderate, or severe, your voice matters, and together, we can make life better for everyone living with allergy.

For Parents and Carers

We know that supporting a child or young person with allergies brings its own challenges. While the Youth Engagement Group is designed especially for young people, we’ll also be setting up a separate parent and carer group. This will be a space to share your perspectives, connect with others, and play a vital role in helping us improve the support available to families.

If you’re a parent or carer, you’re very welcome to register your interest using this form. We’ll keep you updated as we develop this dedicated group.

This group will help us understand the challenges families face, share lived experiences and support youth-led change.

Ready to Get Involved?

Fill out the short form below to register your interest. Whether you’re signing up as a young person or as a parent/carer, you’ll be helping us shape the future of allergy support together.

As a member, you’ll have the chance to co-design resources, contribute to campaigns and advise Allergy UK on how to better support young people.

We meet regularly and work on projects together. You can choose how involved you’d like to be, and there are opportunities to take on leadership roles too.

Our groups are built on respect, inclusion, and co-production. We believe young people’s voices should lead the way.

Our Stories

Thank you so much to all the staff for organising the meet-up as this was an opportunity we would never have got otherwise. It was nice to meet people like me and be able to connect and feel “normal” (whatever normal is!). Thank you again and hope more of these trips happen in the future…maybe you could all come up to Yorkshire and see God’s own country. – Imi.
