Allergy In Practice for Health Professionals 2019
The Allergy Academy, Allergy in Practice course is now in its third year and applications are open for September’s intake. This course is designed for health professionals who have an interest in allergic disease, be they just starting out in the speciality or having worked in the speciality for some years and would like to deepen their understanding of the evidence underpinning practice.
The course comprises of six face to face teaching days, run in three blocks between September 2018 – June 2019, with the option to add an additional seventh day in the final block. There is no academic coursework, but students complete a competency document, clinical hours and are invited to give a case presentation in the second block of the course. Should you wish to gain academic credits at level 6 or 7, this can be undertaken through a work based learning module at Kings College London.
The modules can be taken as stand-alone study days or combined as the whole course. Places are limited to ensure all students benefit from the teaching, which is kept interactive. Therefore priority is given to students who wish to undertake the entire course and for those students who do undertake all three modules there is a grant available for the third module, which reduces the cost.
