Back to School
Allergy UK are supporting families and teachers with managing food allergies at school
As September begins, children and parents across the UK are preparing to go back to school. This can be an anxious time for those living with food allergies as they negotiate unfamiliar environments, school lunch halls and new classmates and teachers. It can also be a stressful time for teachers who perhaps have a child with allergies in their class for the first time. Whilst they may have received allergy training, the prospect of actually administering an adrenaline auto injector may be a daunting one.
Allergy UK has put together a variety of resources for students, teachers and parents to make this transition back to school straightforward and to empower parents and children to feel safe in schools. The FAQ section has come directly from queries we’ve received on our helpline from parents and teachers just like yourselves.
We know that many parents and older children like to raise awareness of their allergies through fundraising events, so we’ve also produced a Coffee Morning fundraising pack to help you raise money for Allergy UK.
Our campaign is supported by My Nametags Ltd
