Improving Quality in Allergy Services (IQAS)
Improving Quality in Allergy Services (IQAS) is the accreditation scheme for adult allergy services in the UK. Services undergo a programme of quality improvement before receiving a rigorous assessment against the IQAS standards. Services which are shown to meet the standards are granted accreditation.
Over the past 18 months the IQAS standards have been revised and have been aligned with the PAS (Publicly Available Standards) 1616. The PAS is a nationally recognised standard owned and published by the British Standards Institute (BSI). It was created as a framework for clinical service accreditation schemes. The proposed standards are available for download and we IQAS would welcome comments from anyone who would like to contribute to this consultation.
