National Allergy Week: 10th - 14th May 2010
This year Allergy UK's National Allergy Week, supported by Dettol, focuses on the difficulties of living with allergies, such as hayfever, highlighting the needs of allergy sufferers.

New tool to help people with asthma and allergies stay in control
Allergy UK and Asthma UK are working together with Education for Health, to produce a patient self assessment tool to help people identify if their asthma and allergic rhinitis are well managed. The campaign was initiated and funded by Merck, Sharp & Dohme. The simple yes/no questionnaires will be available from surgeries and pharmacies across the UK from 1st April and will be promoted on posters.

Histamine Intolerance - The Christmas Present No-one Wants.
Christmas is when we finally have time to do what we want - eat, drink and be merry - at least that's the plan. But some of us may not be so merry and bright, spending part of it in bed or in the bathroom, especially after parties even if we haven't over-indulged. Many will experience quite severe consequences from just one glass of red wine, not to mention the mince pies and the Stilton or eating up the leftovers.

Stolen Lives report challenges commonly held beliefs on Hayfever
During National Allergy Week in May 2009 Allergy UK carried out a survey in association with STÉRIMAR® to discover when and how hay fever starts and impacts on sufferers. The results from the survey produced in the latest of the 'Stolen Lives' series clearly show that many of the long held beliefs on hay fever are no longer proving to be the case.
