Grazax - The Grass Allergy Tablet
GRAZAX - Immunotherapy
Grazax, a grass-pollen allergen tablet from ALK-Abelló is a fast-melting sublingual tablet taken once a day. It is effective, generally well tolerated and has been developed to provide the benefits of immunotherapy to patients with proven grass-pollen allergy.
Grazax works by inducing a protective immune response and developing immunological tolerance in the patient that acts to reduce or even stop allergic reactions to grass pollens. Treatment usually starts at least 2 months prior to the grass-pollen season and continues daily thereafter.
Grazax was approved in the UK in December 2006 and has been available since 2nd January 2007.
