National Allergy Week: 21st - 26th May 2007

This year National Allergy Week organised by Allergy UK is highlighting the increasing impact of hayfever and the rising number of people being affected.

As the ‘hayfever season’ gets longer it is vital that sufferers are aware of the possible long term effects of ignoring hayfever, the new treatments that are available and the management techniques that can assist in reducing symptoms. For example: How many sufferers are aware that in addition to avoiding the actual allergens that trigger their reactions certain foods can also make symptoms worse?

The good news for hay fever sufferers is that there are new treatments which offer real hope for the future and which can be delivered in a convenient way.

As part of National Allergy Week, Allergy UK are launching pod casts and ‘Ask the Expert’ web chats on a website specifically created for this years Allergy Week www.allergyweek.org
