Allergy Education

The Select Committee report of December 2004 highlighted the severe lack of trained professionals to deal with Allergy within the UK.

"We find serious problems exist in the current provision of allergy services. Those working in primary care lack the training, expertise and incentives to deliver services. We call for these deficiencies to be addressed."

We are committed to training Healthcare Professionals and have setup the following initiatives to help address the problem. Click on the relevant links to find out more:

Allergy Masterclasses :- This is an ideal day for workers within healthcare to come and find out about the current thinking regarding asthma and allergic rhinitis. Talks are given by high profile speakers and there will be a case studies & audience participation session in the afternoon.

Online Diploma :- This new initiative is a credit rated diploma backed by the University of Greenwich. It is entirely online and is aimed at Healthcare Professionals who wish to develop a wider theoretical understanding of allergic diseases and their management.

The Allergy UK on-line diploma course is currently under review.  Once the review is complete, the website will be updated with the details

Allergy UK is working hard to make a difference.
