Would you like to know more about Allergy?
Allergy UK is to launch its Expert Patient Course in January 2010, aimed specifically for patients and carers. This seven week course is entirely online which means that you will interact with online learning materials, other participants taking the course and your tutors (e-moderators) who will guide and support you throughout.
The course covers the following topics
- What is Allergy?
- Asthma Cough and Wheezing
- Hayfever and Itchy Eyes
- Eczema and Skin Rashes
- Food Hypersensitivity and Anaphylaxis
- Treatment and Prevention of Food Allergy
Each weekly module also contains a short multiple choice questionnaire to allow you to test your own knowledge of the module. You will also have the opportunity to listen to patient interviews and videos from experts in the field.
The course is aimed at those who wish to develop a wider understanding of allergic diseases and their management, and is suitable for the non medical person including allergy sufferers and parents or carers of allergic children.
