Sainsbury's withdraws one date code of own brand Strawberry Upside Down Trifle and Heritage Raspberry Jelly due to incorrect labelling.

Some Heritage Raspberry Jelly pots contain Strawberry Upside Down Trifle. (These pots have been sealed with trifle lids). Therefore the product contains milk, egg and gluten (wheat), which are not declared on the label. This makes the product a potential health risk for people who are allergic or intolerant to these allergens.

Sainsbury's has withdrawn the affected date code from sale. To avoid confusion, the same date code of Sainsbury's Strawberry Upside Down Trifle has also been withdrawn. In addition, the company has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will inform their at risk members of the withdrawal. Notices will be displayed in all stores to alert consumers to the reasons for the withdrawal, and the actions they can take if they have purchased the product.

No other Sainsbury's products are known to be affected
