The plain chocolate digestive biscuits contain a butter oil ingredient which is declared in the ingredients list, although milk is not declared in the allergen advisory box. This makes the product a potential health risk for consumers who are allergic or intolerant to milk or milk constituents.
Morrisons has recalled all affected stock from sale. Point-of-sale notices will be displayed in their stores informing customers of the reasons for the recall and the actions they should take if they have purchased the affected product. In addition, Morrisons has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will inform their at-risk members of the recall.No other Morrisons products are known to be affected.
